UK Trade Tariff

There are three ways you can search the UK Trade Tariff. 

• "Explore" lets you browse through the Tariff to find the commodity code for a product. Selecting Explore will take you to a list of Tariff sections. From here you will be able to narrow down your search by exploring chapters and headings.
• "Look Up" lets you find the measures that apply to a particular commodity code. You will need to enter at least the first four digits of the commodity code. You can then explore further to find your product from the list of commodities.
• "Search" lets you find a commodity code by entering text that describes a product. The result is a list of similar terms with their contexts as they are used within the Tariff. You can use these to Search through the Tariff to find exact products and commodity codes.

For each of these you must specify if you are importing or exporting. The date field will be set to the current date, but you can search for dates in the past and future. 

If you have previously bookmarked pages in the UK Trade Tariff, you can access your bookmarks from the "View your bookmarks" link under Tariff tools on the right-hand side of the page. From your bookmarks page you can also subscribe to receive email alerts and you will be sent an email whenever information related to any of your bookmarked chapters, headings or commodities is updated. You must be registered with the businesslink.gov.uk website and logged in to use bookmarks.
